WELCOME TO SYDNEY'S ACTION WEEK FESTIVAL
Action week History
Action Week is a nine day long community summer festival featuring activities and fun for the entire family. Includes gigantic kick-off concert, boardwalk busker festival, sports tournaments, night light parade, cultural and historical programs, children's festival, waterfront concerts, fireworks display and much more.
Action Week started in 1974 with a few events, and over the past three decades, has grown into a major Island attraction. The dates for ACTION WEEK 2007 are Saturday, August 4th to Sunday, August 12th inclusive. The festival is coordinated by the Action Week Festival Committee with assistance from the Cape Breton Regional Municipal Recreation Department.
Where else can you visit your friends, enjoy the fun environment and come home to Good ole Cape Breton but at the Sydney Actionweek Festival.....
