Action week History
Action Week is a nine day long community summer festival featuring activities and fun for the entire family. Includes gigantic kick-off concert, boardwalk busker festival, sports tournaments, night light parade, cultural and historical programs, children's festival, waterfront concerts, fireworks display and much more.
Action Week started in 1974 with a few events, and over the past three decades, has grown into a major Island attraction. Time flies when you’re having fun!
This year marks the 35th anniversary of Sydney’s Annual Summer Festival
- and what a lot of fun we’ve had and memories we’ve made over
the last 35 years! Consider this your personal invitation to get involved,
have fun and participate in the festivities planned for Action Week 2008.
